An Overview of Our Journey

Chester Arts Fair was set up in 2011 by Fair Director Laura O’Hare to support emerging artists develop their careers in the artwork by meeting potential buyers, publishers and art critics, Now it is the UK’s biggest Artist Art Fair outside of London with over 120 exhibitors and 40,000 visitors.

The Fair has sold over £3m of art since opening and is now celebrating its seventh edition at Chester Racecourse The fair offers highly collectible investment art at a range of affordable prices.

Guest artists for 2018 include Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, and Mark Quin. David Harper, BBC TV antiques presenter will be hosting a charity art auction at the Fair

With thanks to our key partners including the Belgravia Gallery London, The Drang Gallery and Michael Grimes Fine Art, the Fair has secured prestigious private collections of original art to view and buy. Artists and artwork include L.S. Lowry, Picasso, Matisse, HRH Prince Charles, Nelson Mandela, Banksy, Sir Peter Blake, Sir Anthony Gormley and Bob Dillon.

Chester Arts Fair has been featured on BBC News, ITV News, Telegraph, Guardian, Daily Mail, BBC Radio, International New York Times, Art Lyst, Artists & Illustrators Magazine, Cheshire Life, The Guardian, The Cheshire Mag, plus other regional titles.


The Fair has raised thousands of pounds for local and national charities including Claire House, Variety The Children’s Charity, The Countess Hospital and the Hospice of the Good Shepard.
