Ellie Williams

Ellie Williams is a Chester fine artist with BA (Hons) in Art and Illustration from Exeter College of Art and Design and studied at Ecole Des Beaux Art Nantes.

She creates paintings which are evocative of the countryside and flora and the landscape.

Referencing Renaissance wall paintings and patterning, using composition, colour and textures, to translate the energy of the subject through the physicality of mark making - her aim is to capture the beauty of life in native flora.

She has participated in many exhibitions over 20 years and her work is held in many private collections. She works to commission on many subjects as diverse as landscapes, flowers and animals. Clients have included the Grosvenor Museum, Ellis Whittam Law, Chester and also floral work presented to HRH The Prince of Wales.

Selected shows over the past years include:

The Royal Horticultural Society

The Gorstella Gallery Chester

Grosvenor Museum Chester and work in their permanent collection

Longleat House, Wiltshire

As well as an artist, she takes workshops in schools and community groups and also project manages public art projects and works as an art consultant.
