The Natural World, her people, her abundant wildlife, those are the things that most inspire my work. I aim to breathe life into each painting, capturing personalities and really bringing them to life. Each piece is highly detailed with a great deal of time and focus applied painstakingly to achieve the realism I strive for. Painting in this manner ensures each piece looks just as good up close and personal as it does viewed from a short distance.
I exhibit locally with Brighouse Art Circle, of whom I am a long standing committee member. In our most recent exhibition I am proud to have been awarded “Best in Show” by public vote for my painting “Parsnip, Mummy Bear”. I also exhibit Nationally with Association of Animal Artists (AAA) and Northern Artists. I am extremely privileged to be included within these two groups of exceptionally talented artists, both of which count some big names in the art world among their members.
My most recent exhibition saw me featured as one of a select few headlining a wildlife show at the award winning Harrison Lord Gallery. I hope you enjoy browsing through my website. Please get in touch if you wish to purchase or commission me for your own special piece. Comments and feedback are also welcome.
