I am a self-taught intuitive Cheshire-based Abstract Artist fascinated with colours and colour combinations. As an abstract expressionist I love to experiment with the creation of pieces of art delighting in a journey of unexpected outcomes whilst acknowledging some emerging distinctive styles.
Although having a creative childhood and a recognised artistic talent at school, including four A Levels in the Sciences and Art, I chose to pursue a different career in the healthcare industry. Originally this was full time in the NHS but more latterly part-time in the private sector alongside voluntary work in the community with the local First Responder Trust.
Originally from a line of artistic talent dating back to my Great Grandmother who created very large oil paintings I didn’t look for an artistic career, it found me! For at least the last fifteen years I have had a longing to play with colour on canvas but neither gave it the time or knew where to begin.
Eventually, I could ignore it no longer and from the moment I started to experiment with paint and colour I was captivated. This passion has rapidly progressed from being a hobby to an increasing number of requests to sell my work. I therefore plan to pursue my artistic talent and devotion to painting full time in the near future.
