Tim & Marissa Weatherhead

Tim and Marissa met as students at The Royal College of Art whilst studying for an MA in Fine Art. Since then, they have been involved in Art and Design projects together as well as creating their own work.  Tim was a finalist in the John Moores Painting Prize Exhibition in Liverpool prior to his scholarship residency at the British School in Rome. He taught for several years at St Paul’s School in Barnes, London and worked for Art Guidelines as a consultant, more recently he has been involved in setting up ‘Art Graduates’ a project supporting young artists and is the Art Director for The Exhibit in London   Tim’s works predominately in oils with a broad range of inspiration from building interiors to landscape and wild animals. His work is held in private and public collections throughout Europe.
Marissa received The Boise and John Minton Scholarships while at The Royal College of Art , she has exhibited at The Royal Academy, The Venice Biennale, Group Shows and Art Fairs throughout Europe, as well as New York and London . She has a large commissioned piece at The Barbican Centre and has recently held several solo shows at The Oriel Gallery Wales , Denise Yapp Gallery, Wales and Panter and Hall Gallery, London. Her recent paintings have been influenced by several ‘Artist in Resident’ programmes  held in Spain and Italy. These Residencies have been influential in creating  differing  responses and applications in Marissa’s paintings, some of which can be seen here at the Chester Arts Fair.
