Wildfire Gallery

Wildfire Gallery is a touring affordable art platform, appearing in towns and cities across the UK for anywhere between a weekend and two weeks. We work with a wide range of artists, taking their work to places they may never go, showing it to new audiences. In addition, we seek to embrace and engage every place we visit, responding to their unique community and working with local artists too. We launched in March of this year, and having been used to renting empty shop space, we are thrilled to bring Wildfire to Chester Art Fair. Conceived by director John Davis, this gallery has been three years in the making. John has an Art History degree and an MA in Curating, and has previously worked in art insurance, as a marketing intern with Salisbury International Arts Festival, and for the National Trust. John’s journey here has given him great depth of experience to draw upon and he has spent the past three years gathering a collection of artists, who have all been so supportive in getting the gallery to where it is today. Wildfire Galleries are a place to enjoy and buy art in a relaxed environment, where you can sit down, talk about and engage with it, without the pressures of a ‘luxury’ retail environment. We want to create a space that is welcoming and inviting, to everyone.
